Judge
/ Official Policy
A large number of volunteers willing to
serve as Judges and Officials are required to put on the state Tournament each
season. We understand that it is sometimes difficult for some memberships,
particularly those located some distance away from the training site, to find a
person willing to dedicate a half-day to training and another full-day to the
tournament.
Therefore, the Vermont Creativity Quest, Inc. Board of Directors, in order to
both provide more flexibility to the membership as well as to meet our need to
have people serving as Officials, has instituted the following policy for the
2009-2010 program year.
To fulfill their volunteer requirement for the tournament, each TEAM can choose among the following options:
The decision of which option a team will choose, and the volunteer name/contact information OR payment are due at the same time as the Tournament Registration (deadline of January 16th, 2010).
All volunteers MUST be 18 yrs of age or older.
Notification of which option the team chooses must be made by when registering for the tournament. Teams not fulfilling this obligation will be allowed to participate in the tournament and will be scored, but they will not be ranked in the final standings or allowed to advance to World Finals. Teams whose Judge or Volunteer does not show up for training and/or the tournament will be invoiced the volunteer waiver fee after the tournament.
