WF Decision Deadline
World Finals eligible teams must notify the Association Director, Kathy Jacob, of their decision to travel to World Finals by this date. This is out of respect for the third place teams who are awaiting the decision as to their eligibility to attend World Finals in the place of a team that decides not to go. Please let the AD know as soon as possible of your decision.

Northern Coaches’ Training
This event is free and no registration is necessary. All coaches, and those thinking they might want to coach, are encouraged to attend. Veteran coaches are especially encouraged to attend and support the newcomers.

Balsa Training
Problem 4 coaches and teams are encouraged to attend this one hour workshop with Problem Captain Leslie Griffiths. It will precede the three hour “Performance Polish” and Spontaneous workshop. Registration is required and is separate for each workshop. If you would like to attend both workshops, you will need to register for them separately.

This three hour workshop is split into two sessions: “Performance Polish” is intended to help teams assess their presentations and think how they might improve on their performance. The spontaneous workshop works on strategies useful for developing spontaneous problem solving skills. Registration is required and space is limited.

Northern Spontaneous Scrimmage Session 1
Teams will put their spontaneous skills to the test in this mock spontaneous competition. They will experience all three different types of spontaneous problems and will be given feedback on their performance. This is a one hour session (9:00 – 10:00). Registration is required and space is limited.

Problem Captains will be available from 10:00 – 11:00 to meet with coaches. Ask questions, learn about the problem site and any special issues for this year’s problems. Registration is NOT required.
