Membership and Registration Fees
This is a breakdown of all the necessary membership and registration fees associated with participation in the Odyssey of the Mind program.
National Membership ($290) – Register as a Member of Odyssey of the Mind
Before a team can get started, a National Membership must be purchased for their supporting organization (usually a school or community group) and can be done online here using a credit card or Purchase Order.
When you create a membership you will be asked to enter a primary email address and create a password. Once you have submitted the membership form you will be assigned an Identification Number.
Important Note: The Identification Number replaces any previous membership numbers your organization may have been assigned.
Within a day or so, you will receive an email confirming your membership has been approved. Payment confirmation will be sent to the primary email address associated with your Identification Number. Access to the Member Area of the national site requires the primary email address and password created during the registration process.
Also, a membership packet will be sent to your school or organization’s contact that will contain your membership card, full problem descriptions, a program guide, and curriculum material for teachers. One membership covers multiple teams in all the problems and divisions. An organization would only need to purchase an additional membership if there are two or more teams of the same division wishing to compete in the same problem. The additional membership is discounted. If your school or organization has purchased a membership in the past, you will simply renew using the same membership number. The cost is still $290 for renewals.
State Tournament Registration Fees ($75 per team)
All teams wishing to compete at the state tournament must pay a registration fee of $75 except for Primary teams (K-2), which are only $25. You can register your team by going to the Members Area on the national website. You will need the following to complete your registration:
1. Coach(es) name, address, phone and email
2. School or organization name, address, and email
3. Team Members name, school, and grade
4. Membership number, problem, and division
Please complete the Vermont State Tournament registration no later than Friday, January 24, 2025. Fees will double for any registrations made after this deadline. The deadline to pay the registration fee is February 8, 2025. Fees will double for payments made after this date.

To pay by credit card, contact John Fournier at vtom802@gmail.com. Payment is made through PayPal and a 4% service fee will apply ($3.00 for a $75 tournament fee, $1.00 for a $25 tournament fee). You will receive an invoice to your email address from PayPal asking for your credit card information.
